Chandresh Kumari Katoch is an Indian politician and member of the Indian National Congress (INC). She was born on November 2, 1948, in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Katoch comes from an esteemed royal family of Jodhpur and is the daughter of Maharaja Hanwant Singh of Jodhpur.

Chandresh Kumari Katoch has had a long and distinguished political career. She has served as a Member of Parliament (MP) in both the Rajya Sabha (the upper house of the Indian Parliament) and the Lok Sabha (the lower house of the Indian Parliament). Katoch has represented the constituency of Jodhpur in the Lok Sabha and Rajasthan in the Rajya Sabha.

She has also held ministerial positions in the Government of India. Katoch was appointed as the Minister of Culture in 2012 and then as the Minister of State for Tribal Affairs in 2013.

Throughout her political career, Chandresh Kumari Katoch has been actively involved in various social and cultural initiatives. She has been a strong advocate for women’s rights, education, and the preservation of India’s rich cultural heritage.
